A turning point in history
The Holocaust was a major turning point in history. The Holocaust caused a large amount of diversity in many countries. Many Jewish people fled to other countries like America to be safe from the Nazis. Now the Jewish culture is spread all around the world. The Holocaust also made new laws on how we should protect people as in children, women and even men. Today there are now laws that the Government has made to protect people. Without the Holocaust i do not believe we would have any of these laws. One of the major turning points in history due to the Holocaust was the making of Israel. Israel was considered the haven for all Jewish people. Israel was formed in 1948 nearly three years after the Holocaust. Israel was made for a couple reasons. Israel was established because it was a place for Jewish people to go to be somewhere safe. Jewish people also wanted to live in Israel because they could have a army of their own to support themselves against Nazis and other threats. After the holocaust nearly every two out of three Jewish people in Europe were killed by the Nazis. The surviving Jewish people most likely lost their family and friends and had no where to go. The Jewish people demanded a place to live. For some Jewish people this was a sad end to a new beginning. Israel is the 100th smallest country with over five million Jewish people living there. Israel has over seven million people living there all together. Another reason why the Holocaust was a turning point in history is because the world could have lost every Jewish person in the world because of the Nazis. Without Jewish people the diversity in the world would be less. If it wasn't for the Jewish race we might not have some of the religions we have today. The Holocaust was also a turning point because it raised the education rate in Germany. This may sound like something little but the education rate went up simply due to the fact they needed people with skilled labor.
